Shahrood University of Technology, the first university in Semnan province, started its activity under the title of “High School of Mining” by creating a demand-oriented associate degree in coal mining. 14 years later, it became “Shahroud Higher Education Complex” with the creation of mining engineering courses and civil and electrical associate courses. After establishing and developing various fields of study, especially the expansion of graduate studies in technical and engineering fields, this university continues its activity under the name “Shahrood University of Technology”. Now, after more than four decades, the university with independent decision-making elements; It has continued its educational and research activities in the form of 14 faculties, an electronic education center, a skill-based free education center, four research institutes, two research centers, a research group, a center for the development of new technologies, and a scientific hub, and has stepped on the path of an entrepreneurial university.
